2020-04-07 OPC Press Release
STRATFORD, ON, April 7, 2020 – The Ontario Pork Congress (OPC) board of directors announced that the 2020 Ontario Pork Congress will not be held in it’s traditional in-person format scheduled for June 17 & 18, 2020. Instead the Ontario Pork Congress will transition to hosting an online virtual show as a result of the quickly changing COVID-19 pandemic and with guidance from public health officials.
The OPC board understands that there will be many questions with respects to what the new virtual format will look like and what this change means to producers, sponsors, exhibitors, participants, and industry partners. The board of directors will distribute details and information as it becomes available to all that are involved with the OPC event. We appreciate your patience as we work to finalize these details and work to organize the new OPC virtual event.
To our valued exhibitors that have committed to trade show space, details will be provided in the near future regarding options in making this transition.
The health and safety of all involved is our top priority at this time and we appreciate your understanding given current circumstances. Any details will be released via email communication or social media channels.
For general information regarding COVID-19 please visit the Huron Perth Public Health website (www.hpph.ca).
The Ontario Pork Congress is an Ontario trade show with many educational sessions, a chef demonstration, youth live pig show, Hog Jog charity fun run, and a networking opportunity for many Ontario swine farmers.
